Door

The door, the portal to my chamber,
has all the menace of a stranger. With intentions that are none too clear, is it malice that brings the fear? Or the thoughts that swirl inside my head that give such life to chilling dread. The latch, the catch, the iron hinge, a silent guard no face has him. But knotted eyes of English oak, his words a rattle, the winds cruel joke.
